Great inspiration!

That's just the house at Olana, the view is even better!

My friends and I are planning a 'Victorian picnic' here at Olana.

I want it to be as accurate as possible. Yes, plastic will be allowed but you can't drink or eat from it, unless we're talking about those fake crystal plates, fake stemware and fake metal forks.

Thank you for the inspiration with the menu! I have book marked this site and I will return with a report about our picnic and pictures! Expect to hear from me sometime in August!

I found your site because I am planning my boyfriend´s birthday gift =D One of my main ideas is to go for a picnic about 45 min from where I live...near the mountains. I think its going to be so much fun!!!

Retired and on a budget

Now that I'm retired and on a budget, I enjoy picnics in my area.

With a friend or three, or just by myself, good food tastes better by a slow moving stream.

I started basic with sandwiches, but moved through grilling (steaks and lamb chops), and am going to attempt sauteing fresh caught fish and crab cakes!

This site is just great! I'm going back to explore some more.

Vegetarian recipes please

I love your site. It gave me many ideas. I am planning an indoor picnic so I can use paper plates and finger foods. I can't seem to find veggie finger foods. Can you suggest some vegetarian recipes?
